    Week of Giving

    14-21October 2017

This October, the IICF Week of Giving returns to the UK and we need your help to make this the best year yet!

The Week of Giving empowers the insurance industry to take a leadership role in community service through a dedicated week of volunteer projects in each of IICF’s five regions. It allows employees to volunteer as an individual or part of a company team or group from different companies, presenting a unique way to give back.

    How can you get involved?

If you have one hour, you can provide career advice during lunch. If you have 3-4 hours, you can participate in activities with a non-profit in the local community. Click here to view projects and to volunteer.

Volunteer teams can order t-shirts with your company logo here.

IICF aims to improve early literacy for the most vulnerable children ages five and under. Join IICF in raising funds to help give every young child the opportunity to learn, read and right by supporting the IICF Early Learning Initiative. Domestic Violence in the Workplace

    12:00-14:30 on 2 November 2017

Hosted by Advance, a grant recipient of IICF

We go into work every day without knowing how to recognise employees who show signs of domestic abuse unless we are advised discreetly. This invaluable session explains what domestic abuse is and how it affects the workplace. It will also highlight how to proactively identify signs of abuse and how to act on it.

The session is open to anyone but will be particularly useful for individuals who work in HR or who manage a team of employees.

    The programme

Kavitha Ramakrishnan a Program Manager at Advance will present on:

    1. What is domestic abuse?

    2. Domestic abuse and the workplace

    3. Legislation backing it up

    4. How to address it
