    Charity Quiz Night

    The Associate Board invites you to join the IICF for a great night out.


    Test your general knowledge, socialise with friends and colleagues and help raise valuable funds for people in our communities. The evening includes a welcome drink, quiz rounds led by our Quiz Master James Godwin, a raffle and prizes for the winning team.

    Week of Giving: Be Part of Something Greater!

    The IICF Week of Giving returns to the UK in October and we need your help to make this the best year yet!


    IICF Week of Giving empowers the insurance industry to take a leadership role in community service through a dedicated week of volunteer projects in the USA and UK. Individuals can volunteer as part of a team, or by joining others from different companies, presenting a unique way to make a difference. Projects will be announced soon.

    Midsummer Charity Ball

    21 June 2018

    The Ball raised over £125K for charity.

    Over 200 guests joined IICF to celebrate the industry’s impact in the community at the historic Merchant Taylor’s Hall in the City.

    The evening featured speakers including Eilene Castolene, Director of Operations at Chubb and Rob Owen, OBE and CEO of St Giles Trust. Rob, together with his colleagues, told powerful stories about the people they support – people facing complex issues of abuse, debt and homelessness unable to find help elsewhere.To conclude the evening, David Brosnan, CEO of CNA Hardy and Chair of the UK Board, presented ‘Above & Beyond’ awards to two Associate Board members who’ve made an outsanding contribution to IICF: James Godwin from KPMG and Bobbie Mansfield from XL Catlin.

    Charity Golf Tournament

    21 May 2017

    The Tournament returned to Betchworth Park Golf Club in Surrey. Fourteen teams representing ten companies joined IICF on the day, helping the Foundation to raise over £8,000 for future grants. Chubb was the clear winner of the day, with the women's team winning the Texas Scramble and the men's team winning the 18-hole Stableford, closely followed by KPMG.


    BIBA in Manchester

    The IICF attended BIBA for the first time this year, providing a valuable opportunity to raise awareness of what makes the Foundation unique and how companies can get involved in ways that create mutual benefit.

    Over 100 delegates attended our 2018 Conference on Leading Diverse Thought and Innovation at the Tower of London.


    Speakers including Steve Hearn from Ed Broking, Sabine VanderLinden from Startup Bootcamp, Greg Lowe from Aon and Helene Stanway and Bobbie Mansfield from XL Catlin explored the industry’s response to a rapidly changing world, the role of technology, and how leaders can cultivate diversity to drive innovation and future business results.     CSR Roundtable: Insuring Success for Social Impact

    More than twenty CSR and Foundation leaders came together for IICF's first roundtable discussion, to explore ways businesses and communities can work together to deliver activities and increase employee engagement to create greater, positive social impact.

    Domestic Abuse in the Workplace

    12:00-14:30 on 2 November 2017

    Hosted by Advance, a grant recipient of IICF

    We go into work every day without knowing how to recognise employees who show signs of domestic abuse unless we are advised discreetly. This invaluable session explains what domestic abuse is and how it affects the workplace. It will also highlight how to proactively identify signs of abuse and how to act on it.


    Kavitha Ramakrishnan a Program Manager at Advance provided invaluable insight and advice on the following topics.

    1. What is domestic abuse?

    2. Domestic abuse and the workplace

    3. Legislation backing it up

    4. How to address it

    IICF Week of Giving

    14-21October 2017

    Employees across the industry volunteered as part of a company team or group from different companies, presenting a unique way to give back.


    Volunteers sorted clothing and prepared breakfast for Whitechapel Mission, helped in classes for homeless people at Providence Row, participated in early learning activities at Bromley-by-Bow Centre, led a careers workshop for students at The Girls Network and much more!



    If you missed Week of Giving, you can still make a difference! IICF aims to improve early literacy for the most vulnerable children ages five and under. Join IICF in raising funds to help give every young child the opportunity to learn, read and right by supporting the IICF Early Learning Initiative.     2017 Charity Quiz Night

    20 September 2017

    Over 100 people joined IICF to test their general knowledge, network with industry colleagues and raise valuable funds for charity.


    The raffle, with prizes including 2 tickets on the Eurostar, dinner for 2 and a Mulberry handbag, proved very popular and raised over £1000. In total, the night raised £4,000 for future IICF grants.

    An Evening of Inspiration and Networking

    The IICF and ABI hosted an event for young professionals to hear from a panel of industry leaders on critical issues for the next generation of leaders in Insurance and to network with industry peers. Speakers were:

    • Sabine VanderLinden, Managing Director, Startupbootcamp InsurTech
    • Adrian Matthews, Employee Benefits Director, UK, MetLife
    • Ola Jacob Raji, Associate, Alesco Risk Management and Executive Vice Chairman, Next Generation Insurance Network

    2nd Annual Charity Ball

    Over 200 people attended our 2nd Charity Ball at LSO St. Luke's in London. The evening celebrated the industry's impact in local communities and raised valuable funds for future grants to help vulnerable people realise their true potential.


    Guest speaker Dr. Michael Hastings CBE: Lord Hastings of Scarisbrick CBE described why literacy is important to us all, and Rob Forkan, Co-founder of Gandys Flip Flops and Ariyo-Julien Charles, an Ambassador for Key4Life, shared powerful stories about giving back. Click here to see photos.

    After a very successful day last year, we decided to make the golf tournament at Betchworth Park Golf Club an annual event. Twelve teams joined IICF for the tournament, won by KPMG, with Gen Re coming in second and XL Catlin in third. Click here to see photos.

    Over 75 colleagues joined IICF for a fast-moving and interactive race night which raised over £4,000, which will allow IICF to help vulnerable people realise their true potential. Click here for photos.

    Leading Across Generations Conference

    Bullseye! Fundraiser at Flight Club

    Over 50 people participated in an evening of darts at this popular venue. Generali won the tournament and, together, participants helped raise over £1500 for IICF grants programme
