IICF continues to help the industry stand together and make a difference

14th December 2020

Even though we’ve been apart for much of this year, the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) continues to help the industry stand together and make a difference.

The Foundation’s first industry-wide campaign, the IICF UK COVID-19 Crisis: Community Relief Fund, helped over 3,250 individuals and families across the country and raised over £105,000 through generous donations from individuals and companies including Coverys, CNA Hardy, Chubb, the IUA, AXA XL, Pool Re and Mayer Brown.

The IICF now recognises that recovery from the pandemic is going to take time, is not going to be easy and brings new challenges to our local communities. However, we cannot do it alone.

We believe the industry can play an important role in revitalising communities; providing funds, equipment and practical support to disadvantaged people and the charities we support.

How can you help?

Make a personal donation or gift in kind to IICF’s COVID-19 Revitalising Communities Fund: https://givi.ng/sohe. Funds raised will help charities on the road to recovery, and make a real difference to people impacted by digital exclusion and food poverty. Why these issues?… As the pandemic continues, people must often choose between food for the week and internet access – many opting to go hungry so they can access online support or continue to support their children’s online education.

IICF’s 2nd International Step-Up Challenge is a fantastic way to get active and engage your friends and colleagues using interactive software to track your steps over the six-week challenge starting on 29 March. Sponsor and register for the challenge: https://bit.ly/3nccBQ5

Join IICF’s 5th Anniversary Celebration on 11 March 2021, a special fundraising event that recognises and celebrates the Industry’s collective impact in our local communities. It has never been more important that as an industry we stand together, make a difference and support the charities that are helping people in critical need and revitalise communities for the future.

The evening includes a guided wine and cheese tasting hosted by Taste of the Vine’s Francis Gimblett, a live auction and time to speak with guests at your virtual table. We hope you will support this outstanding industry event by purchasing a sponsorship, taking a virtual table, or joining us as an individual guest: https://bit.ly/3n9T9n4
