The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) was formed by senior industry professionals who felt the Industry could do more to make a difference in local communities. This idea has evolved into an international Foundation that has contributed over £19 million in local community grants and over 240,500 hours of volunteer service.
The IICF is a unique charity that represents the entire Insurance industry and awards local community grants to charities nominated by companies within the industry. IICF UK supports charities in areas of education and social mobility, causes important to all of us.
This year, IICF UK has awarded grants to six charities:
- Amaze, Advance and Brokerage Citylink, charities that help vulnerable people make a new start in life,
- Key4Life, a charity that enables ex-offenders to find employment in places they never imagined – places like Fenchurch Street we visit every day, and
In their own words, “Thanks to the support of the IICF, Beanstalk will be able to provide over 200 disadvantaged and Looked After children with one-to-one literacy sessions for a full academic year. This support will transform their literacy skills and self-confidence, enabling them torealisetheir true potential in life.” Lucia Zaupa, Beanstalk.
To honour the Industry’s impact in local communities and to raise valuable funds for future grants, IICF UK is holding its Second Annual Charity Ball at LSO St Luke’s on 4 May. Companies supporting the Ball include CNA Hardy, XL Catlin, Aviva, AIG Life, Aon, KPMG, Generali and Swiss Re.
The evening will include a champagne reception and meal from one of London’s leading caterers, and after dinner speakers Lord Michael Hastings, Global Head of Corporate Citizenship at KPMG and Rob Forkan, co-founder of Gandys and Orphans for Orphans.

We invite you to join us in celebrating the industry’s commitment to the community while raising valuable funds for charity to help vulnerable people realise their true potential.
