Wellness Week Sessions
1PM on 15 FEB: BEING MINDFUL TO FLOURISH IN WORK & LIFE
Susan Peacock, Founder of LiveWorkWell, helps individuals and teams to flourish in work and life through resilience and mindfulness training. Her talk will cover topics such as:
- What stops you being in the present moment?
- How can you use awareness and focus to manage challenges effectively?
- Good or bad stress? How can you deal with strong emotions?
- Bring curiosity and kindness to difference.
- Keep your mindfulness alive through acceptance and change.
12PM on 16 FEB: EATING RIGHT FOR WINTER WELLNESS
Lisa Patient and Emily Fawell, from Vital Health Nutrition will provide practical advice on how to keep your immune system strong this winter. They will discuss the importance of key nutrients such as Vitamin D, Vitamin C, zinc and antioxidants in keeping you fit and energised, and suggest ways to get the most from the food you eat. The talk ends with a 15-minute Q&A so this is a great opportunity to get answers to your niggling questions about nutrition.
12PM on 17 FEB: YOGALATES
Take time out from your busy day to strengthen and stretch your body with a 45-minute Yogalates session followed by an optional 15-minute guided meditation. The session will be led by Nicola Numa and Nicci Morris of n2 yoga | Pilates and is suitable for all levels.
12PM on 19 FEB: CURIOUS CREATIVITY: PAPER CUTTING & MINDFULNESS
Learn how to take action and express yourself with ‘just’ one word
Two by Two Creators have more than 30 years of experience between us as an architect, actor, designer, brand creators and company founders and we are passionate about sharing our expertise, skills and experience to enable others to feel the ‘joy’ of being creative.
We all have the ability to create something; learn and embrace this… and also embrace our mistakes (because we all make them…an unplanned snip, a slip of the scissors…).Let’s see where it takes you and reassure you that certain mistakes are manageable. The process is just as important as the outcome; distracting us from anxious thoughts and helping us to feel more centred.
Kathy, Simone and Helene will introduce you to the art of paper cutting: cutting out simple shapes and words with creative curiosity. Working out the words that work for YOU and how simple acts can help and support us and be a constant reminder of the elegant simplicity of life.
