Fundraising

The insurance industry plays an important role in society and the IICF asks everyone to help people at risk in our local communities at this critical time.  Now more than ever, by coming together as an industry, we can make a much greater impact. Don’t wait. This is the time to give.

HOW CAN YOU CONTRIBUTE?

1. MAKE A DONATION

Donate to the IICF UK COVID-19 Revitalising Communities Fund

Consider a personal or company donation and matched funding. Funds raised through this campaign will help people at even greater risk of food insecurity, educational disruption, homelessness and other circumstances exacerbated by the cost-of-living crisis.

2. Support IICF UK each time you shop online

Register for Give as You Live and choose The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation to turn 1-10% of your spend into free funds for us.

Shop online at 4,300 stores including John Lewis, Ocado and Boots to raise meaningful funds for IICF UK.

It’s free and quick and easy to sign up to Give as You Live:

3. Connect Employees Through Virtual Fundraising

Virtual fundraising is a simple and effective way to bring employees together while raising vital funds for IICF.  We’ve shared some ideas below to get you started. To set up a fundraising page within IICF’s Total Giving account, go to givi.ng/l21b and click Fundraise For This Appeal at the bottom of the page.

Host a virtual contest

Host a virtual photo contest where every pound donated is a vote to select a winner.  Create a theme relevant to IICF or your company or simply something entertaining such as best pet photos, best dressed on a conference call or an image of working from home. Select a start and end date, choose a prize for the winner, for instance being featured in the next on-line newsletter, and use email and social media to encourage participation.

Arrange a fitness challenge

Take on the One Million Step Challenge: 3 months, 1 million steps. Sign up and get fit at your own pace, wherever you are. Log your daily steps and raise what you can. One million steps too many? Set up your own fitness challenge and invite individuals or teams to cycle, walk or run a target number of KM or challenge people to be the first to reach 50 miles to Brighton, 500 miles to Paris or 1,000 miles to Rome. Set fundraising targets, compete between offices and consider matched funding.
