Highlighting the work of The Access Project

10th February 2020

IICF UK is celebrating 5 years of impact! Each month, IICF UK will be highlighting one of our grant recipients and sharing information on their work. Together, we can make a difference!

This February, we are celebrating The Access Project, an innovative education charity that helps bright young people from disadvantaged backgrounds gain places at top universities. 61% of their students placed at top third institutions in 2018/19, up from 57% the year before and 53% in 2016/17!

In 2019, the IICF UK was able to help 80 students of The Access Project gain access to top universities through in-school support and personalised tuition. The grant is helping to improve the lives of young people and shape their perception of what is achievable!

“I use to think boys were just better at maths. But now, it’s like, we go to the same school, we do the same subjects – so if you can do it, I can do it”
Linah, Young Person in the Access Project.
